Napier, last night. The ceremony of opening the new Spit Po.-fc Office, which wili in future be known under the original name of Port Ahurni, was perlormcd this afternoon by the X’ost-UM-ffer General (Sir J. G. Ward) in Hie presence ol tffo Mayor, Borough Councillors, and a large assemblage of business people ami residents. At the conclusion of tiie ceremony trie Mayor presented Sir Joseph Ward‘with a gold key as a memento of the occasion. The PostmasterGeneral was afterwards entertained at tea by tiie Port residents, arid in the evening was trio guest of tbo Napier lidies at a aociai.
