The Department of Industries and Commerce has received the following cablegram from the Agent-General, dated London, June Bth : —“ Importation of Argentine mutton into the United Kingdom during May were 29.669 carcases, landed at London. 136,809 Liverpool, 17,881 Hull, 19,340 Newcastle, 10,146 Cardiff, 2787 Southampton, 1574 Plymouth. The average price was old per lb. Argentine lamb, 3999 carcases landed in London, 1360 Liverpool, 1852 Hull, 2010 Newcastle, 2082 Cardiff, 200 Southampton, 100 Plymouth. Average price, 4-vd, Argentine butter, 12,252 cwt landed in London and Liverpool; average price, 90s per cwt,”
