On Sunday a light southerly was experienced, and Capo Runaway was pawed at 4.30 a.m. At 7.30 u.m. the wind freshened from tho south, and at <3.30 p.ui. with strong southerly winds and threatening appearance tho schooner nnchorod in Hick’s J3ay for shelter. On Monday at 0.30 a.ui. the Waiapu left Hick's Bay, where tho schooner Gisborne was sighted putting in for shelter. Tho .East Cape was rounded at 1 p.ui., after which,light variable winds were experienced to midnight, with heavy lightning from south and south-east. On Tuesday fresh southnriy winds wero blowing until .0 veiling, when a light westerly wind sprung up. Tort was made early yesterday morning. The schooner was berthed at the wharf at 9.30 a.in. Her cargo consists of 21,177 ft-. timber for South and Black ; 18,718 ft, for W. 0. Skcet ; 4S5Lft. for 11. and J. Bobb ; 4102 ft for Dunlop, and 2040 ft for tho Gisborne Sheepfariners’ Breezing Works. Tho keteli Sir Henry arrived yesterday morning from Wliangarei with a cargo of coal fur the Slieepfanueis’ Freezing Works.
The schooner Awanui left Wliiti.mga on Tuesday with a full cargo of timber for this port.
