lie will be the President ui the Last Coast .Maori Land Council. The position carries with it Lie powers oi a Judge oi the Native Land Court, and lie will also be Registrar oi Lands and Deeds. (Applause.) We understand that Mr Jones lias intimated that lie will accept the appointment offered, but some little time must elapse before it is ratified by llis excellency.
