WESLEY CHURCH CHOIR CONCERT

Despite the unfavorable weather Wesley schoolroom was well filled for the concert last evening. The programme was of a high order and well rendered. Rev. B. F. Rothwell presided, and expressed his pleasure in doing so. They were proud of their choir and the noble work they were doing. Under Mr C. J. East’s conductorship it was more than maintaining its efficiency, and merited the hearty support of the congregation. Tho following programme was then successfully gone through Overture, Miss Tuttle and Mr C. East; song, “ The Toilers,” Mr Ellerbeck ; part song, *• Hail Smiling Morn,” by nino male members of the choir; song, “ Killarnoy.” Mrs Vincent ; quartette, “ Jerusalem, my Glorious Home,” Misses King and Golding and Messrs Wilkinson and Ball ; anthem, “ Let the Hills Eosound,” choir; solo, “Four Jolly Smiths,” with anvil accompaniment, Mr V. Wilkinson ; solo, “ Woman’s Way,” Miss Golding ; duet, 11 Excelsior,” Messrs R. and C. Piesso ; solo, 11 Tho Wishing Gate,” Bliss King; part song, “ The Wreath,” male voices; piano duet, Miss Tattle and Mr C. J. East. The programme concluded with an amusing dialogue, which was very successfully given. Tho part singing was specially good.
