The Premier was entertained at a warden party by the residents of Eotorua ° n the Sanatorium Grounds. There was a lar«e attendance. The Premier said that undoubtedly there was a great future before Eotorua. It was already a great success. It behoved Government to see that nothing essential to the progress of Eotorua was left undone. The Hon. W. Hall-Jones returned to Auckland to-night from a tour of inspection of the north of Auckland lands and railway works, having visited Maungaturoto, AVhangarei, Kawakawa, Bussell, and Waipu. tic was most favorably impressed with tho possibilities of the North, and is tho first Minister of the Crown that has passed through the Waikiekie Y alley, in Paparoa County. He leaves on Friday morning for the terminus of the Mam Trunk railway, and will ride overland conuecting with rail for Wellington.
