In retaliation for Germany's objection to the use or borax as a preservative of meat, the United States Government in .July enforces the law excluding sausages treated with borax ; and requiring the placing ol labels on imported drugs, liquids and foods, showing their ingredients, and excluding those which are forbidden in the country of their origin, and also prohibiting tlie exportation of American foods which are not allowed t ’ be sold in America.
