The synod of the Dutch Reformed Church at Pretoria has adopted resolutions condemning the Government's policy of education, on the ground that it dues not afford sufficient facilities for teaching tho taal, and claiming that tho control of State schools ought to bo entrusted to a representative committee. The King and Queen have had a busy day. They presented war medals to tbo Black Watch at Dalkeith, made a semiState progress through the principal streets of Edinburgh, inspected the Royal Bodyguard of Archers, visited the Edinburgh Castle, lloyul High School, St. Giles' Cathedral, and opened tho Colenton Mains Hospital, which was erected at a cost of £350,000. The various functions included a State luncheon at Holyrood.
