Tho Colonial Oflieo has definitely informed tho Fodcral Government that it cannot prohibit tho employment of colored British labor on tho mail steamers as provided by the Commonwealth Postal Act.
Ministers havo not yet faced tho situation, hut the Postiuastor-Geiieral states that if tho British Government declines to co-operate, tho Commonwealth will make its own arrangements.
