THE ISLAND PICNIC.
((Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night
News by the Taviuni show that the Parliamentary voyagers were favored with splendid weather to Raratonga, the time being spent very pleasantly. The party arrived on April 26th. On the following day a heavy gale did much damage to the plantations. Mr Mills had a meeting with Queen Makea, and a number of interesting questions were discussed. Other islands were also visited.
