POSTAGE ON NEWSPAPERS.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, last night. With regard to newspaper postage, Sir Joseph Ward has cabled to the Imperial Post Office, asking them to grant the same concessions to Xew Zealand as IS given to Canada. In the meantime arrangements have been made in New Zealand to reduce tho newspaper postage to Canada to Id, irrespective of weight, commencing on the 16th inst.
