MAIL SERVICES.
By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright Melbourne, May 11. The Federal Postmaster-General has arranged with the Union Company and Messrs Iluddart-Parker for a new triweekly sorvico between Launceston and Melbourne. It is rumored in Federal circles that Now Zealand is trying to benefit by the Commonwealth prohibiting the conveyance of mails in steamors worked by colored labor. It is alleged that Mr Scddou has formulated a schcmo whereby steamers, instead of coming on to Melbourne and Sydney, after the mails at Adelaide, will go direct to iMew Zealand. It is probable that the hedeial Parliament will meet on May 26.
