Tho Drainugo Board met to-day, when it wus decided to udopt the drainage and sowuge scheme of its engineer, Mr J. T. N. Anderson, only two members dissenting. This scheme was not approved of by throe | engineers who had been appointed to report on it, and they put forward instead a senerno of their own, involving a bighlcvci intercepting sewer. An amendment to defer consiueration oi tho matter till the 12th was defeated, ulso art amendment to refer Mr Anderson’s schemo and the scheme of the consulting engineers to some engineer of the highest repute for his decision.
