FLOODS IN AUSTRALIA.

Sydney, April 24. The Cootamundra floods have subsided. The main line was not injured, but several branch lines were damaged. A big fall of rain occurred at Jindalee Valley. The water came down on the town without warning. In a little time the people of the place and property were in safety. The damage is estimated at .£SOOO.
