In these days, the Imperial Government invariably gets the worst of the deal, and judging by the comments of the London Times, there has been gross blundering in regard to the position taken up as to the railway. The. object is to make a eatspaw of Britain, to suit tlie money-making schemes of foreign capitalists, who have set forth such tilt outrageously one-sided proposal as no business person would dream of entertaining. The disclosures made by the Times should result in a very strong agitation setting in against the bartering away of the rights of the nation without any correspond-
