Mticfarlane’s TY.kapau estate (Wigan) was iieid yesterday. The weather was fine and there was a large attendance of buyers. The recent frost and the fear that there would be a shortage of feed made

buyers very cautious, aud several lines of eattie and the majority of the sheep were passed in unsold. Sheep: 2500 wethers were sold at 10s 9d.

Cattle : Weaners and yearlings brought T2 8s 6d ; 2 to 3 vear-old heifers, £5 ; fat and forward bullocks, TS ; 2 to 3-year-old stores, £-1 17s 6d; cows with calf at foot, To 17s fid to T 4 los ; do , superior line in good condition, To os; cows in calf, £2 los.

The sale continues to day, when delivery will be given. The auctioneers are Messrs Kennedy and Bright.
