The Harbor Board have received the following reply upon the subject of a separate Land Board for Poverty Bay : “ I am directed to reply that he does not see his way to constitute Poverty Bay a separate land district with a local Land Board, as there is a local representative on the Hawke's Bay Land Board, and, moreover, thero arc periodic sittings of the Board at Gisborne, at which all local matters can be doait with. When the sittings are held at Napier, the Gisborne representatives can aiways bring forward aDy business dealing with the iocai requirements of his district.
