CHRISTCHURCH, last night, A case, in which Kdilh Roper sued Allan Kdgar Roper for wife desertion and neglectfully refusing to maintain her, has concluded, by an order of the Court being made that defendant paylas per week and find a bond forUUii) for payment. The case is peculiar in the fact that the parties, who were married in Sydney four years ago. have separated for the past tw, years. Defendant is living in New Zealand. Divorce proceedings were instituted by Mrs Roper at Raster, when Roper wnefc South, being a most immediately arrested on a warrant at the wife’s instigation. DUNEDIN, last night. Captain Fitzharding Jones, a wellknown estate agent, died suddenly this morning. In the Timani Court decrees nisi were granted in Janet Montgomery v. Charles Meßwan. Montgomery, now of South Africa, unopposed : Elizabeth Miles v. William Joseph Miles, unopposed ; Reginald Mills v. Martha Matilda Mills, and John Mackenzie Mcßride, hotel-keeper, of Hampden, unopposed, with costs against Corespondent .
