(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. ! Mr Aitken was re-elected Mayor of Wellington unopposed. Tim aru, last night. •Tames Cleigic was to day re-elected Mayor of Tim aru unopposed. For seats on the Borough Council eight candidates were elected unopposed, a poll being necessary only in respect of two wards! Very Jitfie interest is manifested in the proceedings.

Nelson, last night. Henry Baigent was re elected unopposed as Mayor. Nineteen Councillors were nominated for 12 seat,,, /yq the old Council, except two, are standing 3gain.

P eliding, last night. Edmund Goodbehere was elected Mayor unopposed.
