THE SOMALILAND EXPEDITION.

A force of West African Rilles, under Lieut.-Colonel Plumvatt, supported by Lieutenant Pope Hennessey’s Mounted Infantry ar,d Cavalry 7, dispersed a strong body of Somalis at Lasakantc Wells, near Bohotede. Seventeen wore killed and numerous prisoners taken.

Three hundred Yaos, tribesmen under British officers, defeated a large force of Somalis at Walwal on the 3rd, killing thirty, and capturing six hundred camels and five thousand sheep. The enemy repeutediy tried to rush the British square. Pursuit was found impossible.
Colonel Cab be, on the sth, surprised and dispersed a large party, the rest of toe Galkau, kiiiing ten, and capturing fifteen hundred camels and six thousand sheep. There were no British casualties. The Mullah has retreated to Harradeget.
