Sharos in claims around Arltunga havo sustained a big slump, owing to receipt of telegraphic information from a wellknown oxpert, expressing general disappointment at tho mines, in which the ore is very limited. Ho says most of tho quartz is barren and most oxaggorated opinions are held in regard to its value. On tho other hand, press telegrams state that tho new reofs at Golden Junction are increasing in size and richness, and other claims are progressing with good results. An iron oro leader was struck at the I Junction mine, showing visible gold.
