Wanganui, last night. A vory slight shook of earthquako was ielt hero at 10.42 to-night. New Plymouth, last night.
A man named Von Sturnior, latoly acting as agent of tho Now Plymouth sash and door factory branch at Eltham, W3B arrested hero to-night on a charge of misappropriating money amounting to a largo sum.
Tho S.M. hoard argumout to-day in a maintenance caso in which defendant’s counsol contended that complainant, being in receipt of tho full old ago pension was not a destituto porson under tho Act. Tho magißtrato made an ordor on dofondant for a contribution of seven shillings and six penco per woek.
