FEILDING, last night
All preparations for the industrial exhibition are now completed. The Premier arrived at noon to-day, and opens the exhibition at 3 o'clock. lie was welcomed by the Mayor and President of the Industrial Association. The Feilding Mounted Rifles formed an escort from the train to the hotel.

'An old age pensioner named Robinson was convicted and discharged for making a false declaration regarding his wife’s property. She owned sections valued at £320. Robinson got two years’ pensions in full, hut this year stated Iris wife had properly, and was granted £1).

At. the inquest on David Betlmne, aged (10, who died suddenly yesterday, a verdict was returned that deceased died from the effects of a blood-vessel bursting in the stomach, which had been weak, the effect of excessive drinking.
