TAUHEI WINS THE HURDLES.

Napier, last night. Thore was splendid weather and a largo attendance for the first day of the Napier Park Racing Club’s Autumn Meeting. The course was in good order, times wore all fast, and tho racing was first-class. The sum of JE5465 was invested on tho totalisator. Following are the results :
Hack Hurdle Race.—Sunmos 1, Ogle 2, Sloighter 3. Won by three lengths. Time 3.21 2-5, divs. £2 6s and £2 11s. Esk Hack Handicap.—Tadra 1, Louisa 2, Shackle 3. Won by a neck, the same distance between second and third. Timo 1.28, divs. £3 4s and j£6 12s.
Welter Handicap.—Creusot 4, Paria 2, Tho Rioter 3. Won bv a neck. Time 1.30 2-5, div 3. .£0 14s and ill Is.
Napier Cup, of 300 sovs ; 1.) miles. TradowinJ, 6.7 ••• 1 Kingman, 7.12 ... ... 2 Mcnura, 7.7 ... ••• ■■■ 3 Won by a length. Time 2,35 25, divs, £7 lbs and 14s.
Sapling Stakes Handicap.—Melodeon 1, Rogiment 2, Bandmaster 3. Won by a length. Timo 1.12 2-5, divs. X2 12s and £3 os.
Handicap Hurdles.—Tauhci 1, Roseplot 2, Scallywag 3. Won by two lengths, Timo 3.50 4-5, div. £4 15s.
Rodclyffe Huck Handicap,—Optimist 1. Opao 2, Waironga 3. Won by a length Timo 1.12 3-5, divs. £2 16s and X'2 4s. Flying Handicap. —Madrigal 1, Assayor 2, Eland 3. Won by two lengths. Time 1.16 4-5, divs. £2 2s.
