Tho D Battery, at their annual mooting to-night, discussed tho action of tho Dofence Department in rodueiug tho numboc of guns of the corps to three, and Major Moorhouso auuouncod that under tho circumstances ho would rosign his post as commander. Finally, howovor, consideration of the matter was l'urthor adjourned till Friday, and in tho moanwhilo the corps wiil endeavor to loam tho details of tho scheme which the Defonco staff is preparing to doal with tho difficulty.
