ALLEGED THEFT.

Per Press 'Association* STRATFORD, last night

This morning, William Miller Woodhead, secretary of the Taranaki Sawin'illers’ Association, and pro-, minent in social and business circles, was charged with the theft of £ls on March 9th from the Sawmillers’ Association. He was remanded, bail being allowed, accused in £250 and two sureties of £250. Counsel for informant stated that further charges involved upwards of £ISOO. There were also charges of delivering an untrue balance-sheet and falsifying entries in the hooks. Bailkwas forthcoming.
