Sir, —With your permission I would like through the widely read pages of your paper to express my thanks to one and all Who in anyway contributed toward the success dt our Harvest Festival. It is a joy to anyone laboring for the good ot mankind to have your endeavors backed up by practical sympathy, ana I rejoice to knuw that in Gisborne and surrounding district aucfi unbounded sympathy exists. Major and Mrs Bpargo ; our recent tisitors, desire also to express the pleasure they felt in being enabled to spend a few days in our midst. Thanks are due to the Press, who so kindly gave valuable notices concerning our Festival, and thus kept the subject before the people.
