By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, March 11. A remarkable case has occupied Sir Francis Jeune in the Divorce Court- for seven days. Christian Gordon, a member of the Loudon Stock Exchange, divoicod bis wife on the ground of her adultery with his cousin, Lurd Grauvill. the p«ti tinner being granted custody of the child, named Cecil. Tne wife took the child abroad, married the co-iespondent in the divorce case, and then applied to Mr Justice Jeune to allow her the custody of the child, alleging that it was co-respon-dent’s, aud not Christian Gordon’s child. Site and her present husband deposed to the immoral relations existing between tbetu before her marriage with Christian Gordon, which were continued throughout their married life with Gordon’s know Edge aud connivance. Gordon deposed that he did not suspect his wife’s guilt until shortly before he obtained a divorce, and declared himself the father of the child. Judge Jeune, holding tshac the oalance of probabilities was in favor of Gordon, ordered that Cecil be surrendered iaj hun.

New York, Mar. 11. Edwin Burdicb, a wealthy manufacturer of Buffalo, sought a divorce, Arthur Pennell being the co respondent-. Burdich was mysteriously murdered on February 27th, and yesterday Pennell, with Mrs Pennell, were out motoring, when the vehicle was precipitated into a quarry. Pennoll was killed aud his wife terribly injured.
