THE LOCK-OUT
Per Press Association. Auckland, last night.
The furniture trade lock-out does not include all the men employed at the trado, but a hundred are idle. The position is that the employers have retained the men whom they think worth the Is 3d an hour awarded by the Court and dismissed all the others. The award raised tho wages from Is Id to Is 3d, which tho Union contended is the rate paid in the South.
