Christchurch, last night. - The Canterbury Employers’ Association at the half-yearly meeting this evening discussed a long report dealing with the recent amendments in the Arbitration Court in Christchurch, special reference being made to the preference clause. Tho cost of production, it was stated, had been increased, and manufacturers had had prices put up, but somo linos had befen dropped altogether in one industry. Tho meeting decided that measures should be put m hand to effectually agitate against the preference to unionists being granted.
