The full Court refused an application for prohibition directed against the Arbitration Court to restrain it from proceeding in the dispute over the rate of wages between hotel, club, and restaurant keepers, the Catorers’ Employers’ Union, and tlio Caterers’ Restaurant-keepers’ Association. The Court ruled that tho Arbitration Court had the right of ruling that such persons were not within the meaning of the statute, but in domestic service.
The Trotting Association has decided to reciprocate with the New Zealand Association in regard to horses passing between Australia and New Zealand, and as far as possible in all matters relating to trotting.
