ECCLESIASTIC
The Bishop of Exeter has been transferred to Winchester, the Bishop of Newcastle to St Albans, the Bishop suffragan of Thctford to Newcastle. Dr A. Robertson. Principal of King’s College. London, has been appointed Bishop of Exeter.
VOLUNTEER FORCES,
Mr Brodrick states that tli" present strength of the volunteers is 250,990. The deficiency of officers is 1895.
SOMALILAND EXPEDITION,
Owing to the Mullah’s withdrawal the British established an advanced base at Mu lug in April, when the Bohotle forco joined hands with those at Mudug. The Ofdia base will he transferred to Borbera.
A SUSPICIOUS BILL,
