GISBORNE RIFLES
This corps fired for the district prizes on the Kaiti range yesterday afternoon. There was also a competition for a handsome travelling rug, presented by the Kaiapoi Clothing Company. Quartermaster Sergeant Kemp seoured the rug, Corporal Ebliog winning the first money prize. The following are the scores : Quartermaater-Sergeat Kemp ... 50 Corporal Ebling 48 Sergeant Warner 47 Corporal Stewart ... 45 Sergeant Wakelin 45 Private Moore ... ... .., ... 45 Private E. Somervell ... X. ... 40 Private Nicholson 36 Sergeant Taylor ... 34 Captain Warren fired through with the competitors, making a good score of 66.
