SHIPPING.
Tho South African Steamship Company’s s.s. Kont sailed for Wellington early yesterday morning. She shipped tho following cargo at this port:—Shipped by Turuburu Freezing Works 1000 carcases of mutton for Algoa Bay, 1000 carcases mutton and 272 quarters of beef for Durban, and 2724 carcases of mutton for Capetown. For Capetown 528 carcases of mutton wore shipped by tbo Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Freezing Works. The Union Company’s s.s. Talune arrived from South early yesterday morning, and left for Auckland at 9 a.m., taking tho following passengers from this port: -Misses Bosie and Hicks; Mesdames Stowart and Paltridgo ; Messrs Humphreys, Joyce, Lever, McGrogor. Captain Nicholas, of the schooner Awanui, wired yesterday from Whitianga, leaving to-day ; calling at Tolago Bay. The s.s. Fanny arrived from Napier yesterday morning, with the following cargo 13,500 it timber for various consignees, a large quantity of sundries, and 35 Border Leicester and Shropshire rams for Nelson Bros., and 26 for Mr G. C. McLeau, Waikohu. Messrs Huddart, Parker and Co.’s s.s. Zealandia arrived from Auckland and Sydney shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday, and loft for South during tho ovening. Passengers Inward : Misses Porter (2), Ferris, Hornibrook; Mosdames Elliott, Porter, Williams und infant, Jervis and child, Newton, Pomare and three children; Messrs Elliott, Broomhill, Hicks, Walker, Nawman, Forris, Becd, Blakey, Coley, Taylor, Dunlop, Simpson, Jarratt, Steere, London, Boyle, Park. Outward : Misses Groom, Mitchell, Williams, Lean (2), Gilmour, O’Brien, Bain, Oxonham; Mesdamos Bishop, Scott, Skillicorn, Howard and four children, Pulloin ; Messrs Pettigrew, Cunningham. Buttle, Anderson, Holdon, Parker, McFarlano, Froggatt, Beoro Perry, Barker (2), Malone, Jenkins, Guiro, Campbell, Holmes, Mastors Marsack and Heales, Bovs. Eothwoll and Comrio. Tho Shaw-Savill steamer Corinthic arrivod about 5 yostorday morning, and will load about 15,000 carcases mutton and 200 casks pelts and tallow from the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Freezing Works, She :b expected to sail at midday tomorrow for Picton, and will loave the colony about March 19th. Messrs Common, Shelton and Co. are tho loading agonts. Tho Mararoa loaves Wellington at 4 p.m. to-day, and arrives here early Saturday. Tho Omapore leaves Westport on Friday for Gisborne direct with a load of coals,
Tho Fanny left for Napier last evening, via Mahia. .UNION STEAM SHIP COMPANY’S MOVEMENTS. Saturday, 21st.—Mararoa arrives from South early, and loaves for Auckland and Sydney. First launch 6 a.m., last 10 a.m. Omapere arrives from Westport during the afternoon. Sunday, 22nd. Talune arrives from Auckland during the afternoon, and leaves for South.
