GERMANY’S DEMAND REJECTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Received Feb. 14, 1.10 a.m. New York, Feb. 13. Mr Bowen rejected Germany's demand for three hundred and forty thousand dollars cash, on the ground that it would amount to preferential treatment. Germany then offered to accept five monthly instalments.
