At the Congregational Conference tc-day the Bible reading and teaching motion by Mr Fowlds that the pre-, 'tons question be put being affirmed, in schools question was shelved, a Several members unsuccessfully attempted to reopen tire question. The chairman disallowed further reference, but subsiqjently said be would like to reconaider the position.
