ANNIVERSARY REGATTA
By Telegraph—Press Association— Auckland, last night.
The anniversary regatta was held today. It was marred for the rowing events by a strong south-wester and a heavy sea. In the Open Handicap yacht race Volunteer won, Rainbow being second. Thelma carried her mast away while holding a good position. There were races for boats of the warships, Archer, Penguin, and Lizard. In the sailing race for the seaboats the Archers were first and second. Tne Waihora was the flagship. There was a large attendance of visitors.
