The Takapuna Jockey Club’s Summer Meeting commenced to day. The attendance was large. Tho weather was showery. The sum passed through the totalisators was £9137. The results were : Maiden Plate.—Miss Lottie 1, YVellcast 2. Swagsman 3. Pretty Boy was scratched. Time 1.49, divs. £9 0s 6d and £2 12s. Calliope Handicap. Merry Soult 1, Bonheur 2, Desdemona 3, Time 1.21 4-5. All started. Divs. £4 12s and £1 Is.
Zeaiandia Handicap.—Scotty and Cygnet, dead beat, 1, Delia Rose 3. Solo and Bastion were scratched. Timo 1.7. Divs., Scotty £1 18s, Cygnet £3 3s. Takapuna Cup. Strathavon 1 Putty 2 Formula... ... ... 3
General Symons, Zuolika, and Bobs were scratched. Divs. £6 6s 6d and £3 19s.
Hack Handicap.—Bloodstone 1, Cygnet 2, Liberator 3. Scratched: Irish, Swagsman, Bastion, Wellcast, Soult Fish. Time 1.6 8-5, divs. £2 14s and 10s 6d. Handicap Hurdles.—lncheape 1, Rufus 2, Princess of Thule 8. No others started. Time 8.58, div. £3 19a 6d.

Handicap Hurdles. —Flanagan 1, Mourner 2, Dr. Bill 3. Time 2.59, divs. £8 Is and 19s. Makuri Handicap.—Narcotic 1, Indiana 2, Aldinga 3. Timo 1.21 3-5, divs. £3 17s and £2 12s. Racing Club Handicap. Plaidie 1, Volley 2, Cumulus 3. A protest was entered against the first and second horses for inconsistent running, but was not upheld. Time 3.0 2-5, divs. £3 9s and £4 4s.
Mangaho Welter Handicap.—Waimoe and The Guesser (dead heat) 1, Rosette 3. Timo 1.34 2-5, divs. £1 3s and £1 17s.
