An important meeting of the Chamber of Commerce, attended by representative business men, settlers, and Maori chiefs, hold to-night, passed resolutions strongly urging tho Government to proceed with the roading of the interior, particularly the construction of the Parnpara road botweon Raotihi and Wanganui, so as to permit the speedy settlement of tho large Ohutu block, which consists of 250,000 acres.
