FOXTON RACES. Per Press Associate >fi.Palmers ton North, last night. Tho weather was fine and the attendance again very good for the second day’s races of tho Foxton Racing Club. The sum of £12,865 was put through tho totalisator for tho two days, £3974 increase. The results were : January Handicap.—Ballarat 1, Prisoner 2, Waireka 3. Won oasily by half a leDgth. Time 1.18, div. £1 18s. Hack Hurdles.—Otira 1, Merry Boy 2, Hawcra 3. All started. Won by two lengths. Time 2.53 3-5, divs. £2 7s and £2 16s. President’s Handicap.—Plaidie 1, Convoy 2, Mussel 3. Scratched : Hardwork. Won by half a length. Timo 2.5 3-5, divs. £3 8s and 9s. ' Grandstand Handicap.—A.B.N. 1, Hifobelt 2, Prisoner 3. All started. Time 2.0 4-5, divs. £3 10s and 19s. Carnarvon Welter—Handsome Rose 1, Alas 2, Westerly 3. Scratched : Ballarat and Old Gun. Won fairly easy by half a length. Time 1.46 2-5, divs. £1 16s and i£l os. Railway Handicap. Gold Dust 1, Hardwork 2, Elusion 3. Scratched: Governess. Won comfortably by half a length. Time 1.17 3-5, divs. £2 6s and 15s Electric Hack.-Nat Gould 1, Tirolo 2, Endeavor 3. Won oasily by a length. Time 1.6, divs. £7 4s and £1 Bs. Hawmi and Tirolo woro bracketed.
