The s.s. Mokoia arrived early this morning from South, and loaves for Auckland
S at 10 a.m, 1 The s.s. To Anan leaves Auckland at noon to-day for Gisborne, and proceeds South to-morrow afternoon. The s.s. Weka, which left for Napier at midnight on Thursday, had to roturn to port, owing to the breaking of her eccentric strap. The steamer had only got a short distance out, and, temporary repairs having been effected, sho got back to port after a short delay. The strap was replaced yesterday morning, and the Weka loft again for Napier, via Waugawohi, yostorday aftornoon. The s.b. Hawea arrivos from South on
Monday next with a cargo of produce. Tho s.s. Waihi, which was to have left /'for Tolago Bay this wook, was advised I . not to proceed thither, as the bar was unp -workable. About 120 bales of wool await j shipment at that pluco. The schoonor Aotea (Captain J. Skin--1 nor) worked Turihau yesterday morning, t landing 5000 ft timbor, but, owing to tho • heavy sea and N.E. winds, sho was unablo to procoed to other bays, and returned to port. Sho left again for Tolago Bay last ovoning, after transhipping a small quantity of cargo from tho s.s. Waihi. Tho ship Gladys (Captain Footo) is expected to loavo for Homo on Monday noxt. About 6300 bales of wool have ■already been shipped. Tho Tyser steamer Niwaru loaves this evoning for Wellington, after shipping tho following cargo at this port: —16,500 carcases frozen mutton, 1500 bales of wool, 213 casks of casings and tallow. Tho following havo booked passages by tho Mokoia for Auckland this morning : Mesdames Coleman and Mack ; Misses Coleman, Cotton, and Turtle; Messrs Jackson, Hubble, Ormond, Park, Walker, Hicks, Mack, Poole, Kearsley, Warnock, and Eicholbaum.
