SPORTING.
(Per Press Association, 1 ) Wellington, last night. Siege Gun and Advance are favorites for the Wellington Cup. The latter on the strength of yesterday’s gallop is expected to start favorite. The weather appears to be steady, and there is every prospect of a successful summer meeting.
Seratchings for to-morrow’s meeting are: Achilles for the Zealandia Plate, Starshoot for the Wellington Stakes, and Pallas for tfco Telegraph Handicap.
