Ho did not believe Asiatics could bo kopt out of Australia, and also believed that when the noxt upheaval came amongst Asiatic poople the lino of least resistance would bo found to bo Australia. Such things might be very far in the future, but tho interests of those that came after them had to bo considered. Unless Asiatics found a higher standard of morality than they had at present, the future of Australia would be one that would bring tears to a whole nation. He spoke highly of the Queensland Government’s treatment of Kanakas.
