ROWING.

POVERTY BAY ROWING CLUB,

A meeting of the members of the Poverty Bay Rowing Club was held last evening, there being a good attendance. Mr J. Webb presided. The business was to consider the advisability of holding further series of races. After favorable discussion it was resolved to hold a double scull competition in about three weeks' time, the distance to bo three-quarters of a mile. Each competitor is to pay an entrance fee of 2s, the trophies for the competition to be medals. The following are the crews selected : J. Roderick, bow J. Smith, bow F. Clark, str A.
