Messrs Dalgety and Co. have received the following cablegram from their London house “ The list of arrivals for the wool sales has closed, and all your wools have arrived in time. Tho new arrivals have amounted to 215,000 bales, of which 82,000 bales have been forwarded direct to the manufacturers at Home and abroad, leaving 138,000 bales available for the sales. Private sales since tbe close of last series have amounted to the trifling quantity of 8000 bales. The dates of our ownsales are January 22, 27, and 30.” The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, are in receipt of the following cable from their London office :—“ Wool: W r e think that a rise atthe forthcoming sales on the closing rates of the previous sale will take place, amounting to about 5 per cent, on Mermo and fine crossbred, 5 to 10 per cent, greasy medium crossbred, 10 to 15 per cent, greasy coarse crossbred.”
