ELINGAMITE GOLD.
CURRENT TOO STRONG FOR DIVER.
(Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night, The attempts to recover the gold on board the wrecked steamer Elingamite proved unsuccessful. The vessel is now in 30 fathoms of water, and owing to the strength of the current the diver could not go down.
