WOMAN BURNED TO DEATH,

’ Wellington, last night. Annie Boson, aged 77 years, was burned to death through falling into the open fire •it her daughter's residence at Mungaramarama.

At the inquest on the body of Frederick Field, killed while coaling on the Corinthic on Saturday, the jury returned a verdict that death was accidental, but were of opinion that no precautions were taken to prevent such an accident, and recommended that special provision be made in future.
