Tho cricket match against Lord Hawke’s eleven was resumed this afternoon, when there was again a large attendance of spectators. Tho Englishmen, with five wickets down for 228, treated the spectators to a very fine exhibition of batting. Bosanquet, tho not out man of Saturday, continued his innings, scoring with great rapidity and making over 100 runs in an hour. His hitting was very hard. Thompson also played a sterling game, and his partnership with Bosanquet put on 154 runs. In Hawke’s Bay’s second innings no stand was made until Macassey and Cotlsrill got together, the former making 18 (not out) and Cotterill 34.
