IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS

PALMERSTON N., last night

At a large and enthusiastic meeting of bowlers this evening, several important recommendations to the Bowling Association were decided upon. These were that the present system of holding inter-club tournaments every two years and a biennial tournament in intervening years be continued, and that it was inadvisable to hold alternate tournaments in South and North Islands; the cost of the tournaments to be raised by a pro rata levy on all affiliated clubs, contributing an amount to be fixed by the Association; that iu future all inter-club tournaments, including singles and pairs, be held alternately at Auckland and Wellington, the champion fours to take place in the smaller centres,
