Walls, Esq., Kaiapoi, having; been purchased in Glasgow, at the enormous sum of fifteen hundred guineas. Standard Duke was imported by Mr Chambers, of Hawke’s Bay. For further information, see Stud Book. It was not purposed to have stood Young Duke this season, and this is only done at special request. ' All mares sent to Young Duke will be attended to by an experienced man (Mr G. A. S. Taylor), who will make all arrangements as to fees, etc. Young Duke’s services this season will lie placed as low at possible for a sire of his class.
